Kenneth McIntosh

Kenneth McIntosh is an author, educator, and spiritual companion. He has written more than a dozen books published by Anamchara, including Water from an Ancient Well, has led workshops in Ireland, the UK, and throughout the US, and has shared his insights on podcasts and webinars. In the past, he taught comparative religion at the college level and has led churches in five different denominations. He lives in the Western Finger Lakes of New York with his wife Marsha and their cat, Bunty, where he also enjoys time with his granddaughter, hiking, fountain pens, fantasy fiction, and historic-themed craft projects. With his wife Marsha, and other companions-on-the-way, Kenneth has been shaped by blister-making, soul-renewing pilgrimages in Spain and Scotland.

Terry and Darlene Wildman

Terry Wildman, an Ojibwe and Yaqui spiritual leader, has devoted his life to helping people encounter Scripture through the richness of Indigenous culture and storytelling. As the lead translator of the First Nations Version of the Bible, Terry has led a collaborative effort to present the biblical story in language and imagery that resonate with the oral traditions and worldview of the First Nations peoples.

Together, Terry and his wife, Darlene, have spent more than two decades serving Native communities through Rain Ministries. As the award-winning musical duo RainSong, they combine original music, storytelling, and worship to share a message of hope, healing, and reconciliation. Their ministry has taken them to churches, conferences, and Indigenous gatherings throughout North America and Ireland.

Terry Wildman and Darlene Wildman — storytellers, musicians, and ministry leaders who share the beauty of First Nations spirituality, Scripture, and the Creator-centered worldview expressed through their music, teaching, and the First Nations Version of the Bible.

The Central Texas Celtic Spiritual Community invites you to Ancient Wisdom • Shared Paths, a three day gathering exploring our shared calling to live in harmony with God, one another, and all of creation.

This free event welcomes all who wish to explore the beauty and wisdom of Celtic and First Nations spirituality. Join Kenneth McIntosh, Terry Wildman, and Darlene Wildman for a weekend of exploring ancient wisdom and shared paths through teaching, music, storytelling, worship, and hands on experiences. Through the gifts of their distinct Celtic and First Nations spiritual traditions, they will invite us into a deeper awareness of God's presence in creation and the ways we are connected to one another.

Friday, October 16 6:00-8:00 PM

Our weekend begins at the Salado Museum with an evening of welcome, teaching, music, and fellowship. Kenneth McIntosh will introduce the theme of Community of Creation, followed by an inspiring evening of stories and music with Terry and Darlene Wildman.

Books and music from the presenters will be available for purchase throughout the weekend, with opportunities to meet the presenters and have books personally signed by the authors.

After the program, everyone is invited to continue the conversation during an informal gathering at Barrow Brewing.

Saturday, October 17 8:00 AM-5:00 PM

Saturday offers a full day of learning, creativity, and community as we explore creation through Celtic and First Nations spirituality. Throughout the day, participants will experience presentations and interactive workshops on:

Rocks and the ancient witness of creation
Plants and the Four Sacred Herbs
Creating St. Brigid's Crosses and Tobacco Ties
Circle Dance and Scottish Country Dance
Spirit People and the sacredness of creation
Animals as fellow members of God's creation
A panel discussion and question and answer session with all three presenters
A traditional Tobacco Ceremony

Lunch, a catered baked potato bar and salad, will be provided at no cost to participants. Please RSVP through our website so that we can have enough meals for everyone attending.

There will also be time to purchase books and music from the presenters, have books personally signed by the authors, and enjoy fellowship with others who are seeking a deeper connection with God through creation.

Sunday, October 18 8:30-10:00 AM and 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM

The weekend concludes with Forest Church at Harris Community Park in Belton, where we will gather outdoors to worship in the beauty of God's creation. Later that morning, everyone is invited to worship with us at our partner church First Presbyterian Church of Belton, where Terry Wildman will bring the message and Terry and Darlene will offer special music.

Ancient Wisdom • Shared Paths is an invitation to encounter the gifts of two distinct spiritual traditions that share a profound reverence for the Creator and the created world. Through teaching, music, storytelling, worship, and shared experiences, we will discover how Celtic and First Nations spirituality can deepen our faith, expand our understanding of creation, and inspire us to walk more faithfully with God and one another.
